SLOANE MONROE
Described as “platinum pop of a richly rewarding kind” (Trust the Doc), Sloane Monroe mixes her folk and blues US roots with electronic sounds from the UK Alternative Pop scene. Inspired by the songwriting of Maggie Rogers, St Vincent and Amy Winehouse, Monroe brings bright strings, thick bass lines and a warm soulful voice to her live audiences. Monroe received an artistic promise visa from the UK Arts Council in 2019 to contribute to the UK music scene after finishing a degree in Jazz violin at Guildhall School of Music. In 2021, she received the opportunity to study at the Abbey Road Institute where she collaborated with producers like Haydn Bendall (Kate Bush, Olivia Newton-John, Pat Metheny) on her own original music, recording at Abbey Road Studios and Angel Studios. Recently, Sloane supported YUNGBLUD on his most recent BBC Live Lounge appearance, arranging and performing strings for his cover of ‘Strangers’ by Kenya Grace.
